Devotions, thoughts, the Word ... and simply words...
In the beginning was the Word; and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. All things were created through Him, and apart from Him not one thing was created that has been created. In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. That light shines in the darkness, yet the darkness did not overcome it.
- John 1:1-5
Greg Laurie, pastor of Harvest Fellowship Church in Riverside and founder of the Harvest Crusades, recently released Lost Boy: My Story. Anyone interested in not only how Laurie came to be one of the most prolific evangelicals of our time, but a peak at how Calvary Chapel founder Chuck Smith's preaching affected many during the "Jesus movement," will want to read this book.

Miss California: 'God was testing my character and faith'

She's still a dumb bitch
Sorry you feel that way, Anonymous. Do you have any other pearls of wisdom to share with us?
I am proud of Miss California for standing tall with her belief-system!! I find it very small of Perez Hilton to berate her with such venom and hate-mongering simply because she disagrees with his sexual preference! A sad day for beauty pageants! A gr8 day for Miss California; as her test of Faith was passed with flying colours! U Rock, Miss California; ignore Perez Hilton, he hates everyone except himself!! He even pressured Miley Cyrus to agree with him; so a man pressuring a teen at 16 is mentally disturbing in my opinion; and he needs to be de-throned for his abuse of media power to hate-monger anyone who apposes him. Sadsack is my nicname for him NOW!
How can you call her that? She is a woman of class and honesty. I admire her for standing up for what she believes in. She should have been judged on how she answered the question. Not her actual opinion. God Bless!
I´m a fan of fox news, and missed this interview. It´s refreshing to see young people stand up for what they believe in, and not be shaken.
I don't know if anyone has noticed this, or if it's just me. Here you have a young woman who's been asked a socially sensitive question in a stressful situation. She gives an honest answer of integrity in line with her beliefs - without spite or malice. The response from someone who is supposed to judge her is to call her a *itch & a *unt! Nasty! Where is the outrage at the hate speech directed at Miss California? If Miss California had mentioned any vulgar word like *ueer or pervert, she would have been slammed with a lawsuit before she could have left the building, accused of 'hate speech'! It's like there's TWO sets of rules. Someone whom I consider is a psychotic pervert can say anything he wants, and get away with it - but woe be the person who should disagree with him according to her own moral principles.
I'm proud of her! Let's be proud of what we believe in! Shout all the more!
